Tuesday Drama Club
Take To The Stage
About Drama Club
Our Drama Club are usually busy rehearsing a new play. Out making a film in one day or organising performance based events such as fashion shows.
Every event is open to young people’s friends, family and the local public, thoroughly enjoyed at the FAYAP Youth & Arts Centre.
Show off your performance skills, or if you don’t see yourself as a performer, you can learn to write a play or sketch, produce a play or film it. Get involved with back stage crew, set design, costume design and/or sound & lighting.
We have staged complete plays, sketch shows and a story that was told as a film and a fundraiser.
All our films are made by staff, volunteers and young people at FAYAP. You’ll gain new skills, a greater knowledge in the creative arts and a motivation to work on the film, whilst also having fun and making new friendships.
Drama club becomes much more than putting on a performance. Team work is key to success. Every role is equal in any drama based activity , each person relies on each other.
In between productions and events our wonderful youth club staff run additional group activities. They consist of cooking and meals at the centre. Trips to Rendlesham Forest, Beach trips for Fish n’ Chips and occasional shows at local theatres. These activities are idea for team building, team bonding and developing social skills you can apply to your life outside of an educational system.
For Parents & Guardians
Our drama group is open to all interests and abilities. It’s been running for years and is often fully subscribed, yet please feel free to email us or message via our instagram @fayap.framlingham.
Drama is a fun way for young people to work together in a team, let off steam in a creative and fun environment and build confidence and self-esteem.
Please bare in mind we are a charity run youth club providing a free drama club. We give our young people the space and time they need to create something fulfilling to them.
Members of the public and have often remarked about how much is achieved with young people we work with or who aspire to star in the more formal school productions.
